Fall Fun!

I will say the weather this fall has been fabulous! The girls and I have spent the majority of our time outside, at the park, going on nature hunts and just relaxing! This particular day, we got a call from Grandma Tee-Tee asking if we wanted to come over and jump in her leaves before she cleaned them up. I picked up Evie from school and man did they have a ball.

Sorry for the lack of updates but...

Recently we have had A LOT of changes to our lives...I closed my store and now I am staying home with the girls, and loving pretty much every minute of it! So in the packing of my store, I have seemed to have lost my cable for my camera that transfers pictures to my computer! This makes for a big problem, when I want to post pics...well, hopefully I will find it soon. I have taken some pictures with my phone, they are not great, but at least you can see how big the girls are getting! More posts to come!

The Big Helper!

Evie was off school a few days and she spent Thursday over at my sister's house helping with baby Genevieve. Stephanie said she was a big helper and loved to hold her! I thought I would share a pic, however my sis doesn't allow pics of her kids to be posted on the internet, so you will have to use your imagination...her outfit is cute though!

Josie Girl!

I wanted to give an update on our Josie girl since most of my recent posts have been about Evie!

Josie is growing up so fast! She is such a joy! She is very goal-oriented, has great energy, and is such a jabber bug! She says anything and everything now and asks tons of questions! She sings her ABC's, counts to 15 and is working on her colors! She absolutely loves baby dolls and real babies. She started gymnastics a few weeks ago, and absolutely loves it! She does however bounce some of the kids right off the trampoline and yells "no" at others when they try to jump in the foam pit with her, but other then that it is going great! (pics to come)

We are so blessed to have two wonderful little girls in our lives!

Field trip to the Fire House

Evie's class went on a walking field trip to the Edwardsville Fire House last Wednesday! They had so much fun! They got to walk through the firetrucks and ambulance, shoot the fire hose, take a tour of the entire fire house and learn lots fire safety tips! Evie loved every minute of it!

Soccer + Evie=The unexpected!

Evie had her first official soccer game on September 12 and I am finally getting around to posting pics of the exciting game! It is so funny to watch all the children run to the ball, but not make much contact...I understand why Evie's coach refers to it as "herd ball". Nevertheless, we are enjoying watching Evie, whether it is kicking the ball or doing somersaults down the field, it makes it that much more fun, because we never know what to expect.

Labor Day Fun!

We took the girls to the World's Fair this past weekend! They had such a great time! When we pulled in to the fair it started to rain, but thank goodness that only lasted a few minutes!

Eric, Josie and Evie in the Fun House! Do you remember the Fun House being the greatest as a kid? I thought it was so great when I was young...now I wonder why! Although, the girls really enjoyed it!
Last year Evie started to cry the first time around on the Dragon roller coaster...this year she was excited and loved every minute of it!

This is by far Josie's favorite! She loves the horses!!

Lots of helpers!

My mom came over yesterday and helped me make homemade apple sauce with the apples from our apple tree! We had such a great time and I am so thrilled to learn. We also made 5 jars of salsa...all with 2 little helpers!

Fun at the Rudd's!

I am a little behind, but couldn't help posting these pics of the kids from the playdate at the Rudd's! Thank you Krista for welcoming all of us in to your home! I thought all of the kids were so cute and played so nicely! They especially loved jumping on Uncle Nate...thank goodness he is a good sport! Evie is super excited to get together again soon...and BTW, she said, "Mom, Krista's house is beautiful, can I move in to her house," so Krista you might have a third child sooner then you think! :)

How many pairs of underwear can she wear?

The answer: 12...The child put 12 pairs of underwear on last night! She was so very proud of herself and just kept adding underwear! I took her shopping for underwear yesterday morning because she said "I want to be a big girl..." She is so ready to be potty-trained...I think we are the ones that need to get prepared! She is growing up so fast! She gave up her paci this week, and wants to be potty-trained...where did our baby go???

Tall, Tall, Small

Eric asked me to post this pic...it is a cute pic from our Family Reunion Trip to Destin, but the real reason is because his friends do not believe him when he tells them that his sister is so small...so this is proof! Love you Megan!!!

Evie's First Day of School

Evie had her first day of Pre-K today! She had a great time and couldn't wait to tell me all about it! Actually, she didn't tell me anything expect it was "fun and boring all at the same time"! Wow, boring at Pre-K, I am scared to think of what's to come! I am relieved since I know she has a fabulous teacher, or I might worry that she thought the first day was boring! I really truly cannot believe she will be in Kindergarten next year! I feel like my parents when I say this, but time really does go by so fast, it seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital!

It's not lipstick...

It's CHOCOLATE!! Ok, so Evie loves chocolate, which is so crazy, since I absolutely despise chocolate. She definitely gets it from Aunt Stephanie and Aunt Megan! Evie enjoyed her Hersey Kiss so much she decided to wear it as lipstick so she could lick it off all day...seriously, things 4-year olds think about!

My Tree Climbers

Josie wants to do everything and anything that Evie does right now...including climbing Evie's favorite tree! Here is Josie beginning her climb and Evie way up in the middle of the tree!

Josie is not quite the dare devil, so she didn't get too far before turning around. Soon enough she will be climbing as high as Evie!

Sea World!

I posted some pics of Disneyworld, but forgot to post any pictures of Sea World. Oddly enough, for two princess girls, Sea World was their favorite! We had a great time too! The shows, the children's area was incredible, and the girls got to get wet...so what more could you ask for!

She is Tara Campbell Lotz's best friend. Her name is Amber Burtle and she has a job right now, but does this on the side. She definitely has quite an eye! You can find her on facebook...become her friend. She is incredible and will come to wherever you choose. She will bring props or suggest super cute poses and props!

A friend of a friend does photography on the side and we had her come to our house last week and take some pictures of the girls! I loved the way they turned out! She caught the girls having fun, enjoying life! The best part, Josie was not cooperating at all and there were still some GREAT ones of her! These are some of my favorites!

Ahhh the Princesses...finally!

Ok, so our trip revolved around the beautiful princesses that we just had to meet...btw, totally worth the wait to see the look on your child's face when she sees her favorite princess! Evie was in total awe...and Eric and I loved to watch her! Josie really enjoyed it to, she saw Aeriel and said "mommy, aeriel, mermaid..." too cute!

Disneyworld!

This face sums up how Evie felt about the entire Disneyworld experience! She loved every second of it, including the spinning teacups that she was on in this picture. We did have a great time. My parents went, as well as my brother, Mark, my sis-in-law, Alicia, and thier kids Emma and Ian. We really enjoyed ourselves.

This was by far Josie's favorite ride! She would say I want "neigh, neighs"...she would have ridden again and again!

Evie is in the middle with her princess friends. She was all ready that day to meet the princesses. She had her jewerly on, her hair in a bum (princess hair is what she calls it), and her ball gown on...too bad it was 100 degrees that day and by lunch her dress was off...and the line to meet the princesses was a 2 hour wait...

Well, here we are 4months later and I am finally have time again to post something...I can't believe it has been that long, but I do have some dear friends that remind me! Posts to follow, I promise...I am uploading pics as we speak!

Sisterly Love!

Now this is sisterly love! Evie is letting Josie ride on her back! They have finally started having times that they play together...I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!

This is what happened next...Evie, not enjoying it so much anymore! But I do have to say, Josie definitely holds her own!

These were obviously before the weather hit, but I couldn't help posting them because I think she looks SO CUTE in these photos. She is so funny! She has such a personality now and you should hear her talk...I really don't know what she is saying, but I LOVE IT! This past week she has really taken off on her language...she says, "no thank you", "I want more, please", "Go to grandma's", "No, That's Evie's" (anytime anyone tries to touch something that is Evie's she says this, it is so funny), her favorite words still remain, "NO", "Up Mommy", "Outside" and "thank you."

Sisterly love!

Ok, so my girls don't always look like this, well, let's be honest this is a very rare occasion that Josie is kissing Evie, or that Evie is letting Josie kiss her, but hey, I am going with it! It happened, I caught it on camera...I do feel that my girls seem to be playing better together, or at least in the same room playing with seperate toys and having fun! I feel blessed to have two strong girls that we are raising. They both definitely have their opinions, and someday, we are going to LOVE the fact they can stand-up for themselves...right?!!

Evie started ballet, tap and gymnastics at the Little Gym! She absolutely loves it! She seemed rather focused last night, trying to master the skills, concentrating very hard on what her teacher Miss Megan was showing her. She did a fabulous job! Then, gymnastics started...apparently the tricks where not dangerous enough that they were having the kids do, so Evelyn decided to go off on her own and come up with new stunts...the child is not afraid! I wish I had photos to show you, however my camera decided to stop working!
