I filmed this for Eric to see. Evie and Josie were having such a great time. Not sure it was such a great idea, but Josie sured loved it!

Best babysitter

"I have the best babysitter and I love her," exclaimed Evie as Katie left tonight! I would have to agree. Katie helped Evie make Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Aerial all out of felt...man, Evie does have the best babysitter! By the way, Evie drew the faces on the princesses herself! She is getting so big!

Baby legs

Oh my gosh, I love this new discovery called baby legs. They are basically leg warmers for babies and help make diapers changes even faster! I love Josie's little chub, chub legs! I know she is going to love me someday for writing that but they are so cute.

All smiles...

The girls are so much fun! Josie and Evie are pretty much all smiles all the time! They are so much fun to be around and Josie is crazy about her sister and Evie loves every minute of it!

Josie will wake up in the middle of the night just smiling...it is hard to resist!

Sweet dreams...

Our girls sleeping! Which is crazy because they are both sleeping at the same time! Who new that could happen!

First haircut

How many 7 months require a trim??? Well, we took Josie for her first haircut tonight by our friend Becky. She didn't seem to mind it at all, and pretty much smiled the entire time. I think her new do really shows off her cheeks! What do you think??

Meet the next fashion designer

Seriously, I think Evie might have an eye for fashion. She loves to dress herself and always picks out the most interesting outfits. I think she is probably looking at a career in fashion design!

Josie loves to sit in Evie's chair like a big girl...doesn't she look so cute!

Josie's new thing is to shake her head no over and over again...it is too cute! Thought I would share it with you!

Coloring together

Evie wanted Josie to color with her tonight...and she wouldn't take no for an answer. She gave Josie a marker and a coloring book and tried to show Josie what to do. However Josie found it much more interesting to eat the markers and slobber all over Evie's pictures. After that Evie was not so sure she wanted Josie to color anymore! I love it that Evie wants to show Josie so much, she is definitely fond of her little sister.

Say peas

Josie had her first taste of food tonight! I guess that is not completely true, she has been eating the cereals and loving it, but tonight she got to start on the veges. She wasn't exactly sure what to think about the peas and at one point I was thinking that she was not going to eat them at all, but she kept opening her mouth over and over again for them!

Christmas again

Since my girls were sick when my brother and his family got back from Florida, the kids were unable to exchange Christmas gifts. We finally got our schedules together and had a pizza/gift night at our house. We had a ton of fun and all of the kids played so nicely together. Here is a pic of what my mom has termed as her "fab five".

Girly girl!

Evie loves to wear dresses...she absolutely loves dresses with flowers all over them. She always says "mommy I want to wear an all over dress." Meaning a dress with flowers all over it. The more flowers the better!

Why are boxes so much fun?

Evie has spent a good portion of the last few days playing with a box at our house. She has played house, dolls, pretended it was her bed, made a slide and created herself a secret hideout inside the box. Sometimes I wonder why we even have toys at our house. Give the girl a box and she will find new things to do with it everyday! Ahhh, to have that kind of imagination again!

Princess mania

Evie loves princesses! Our house is crazy with little bitty princess shoes, clothes and accessories! Is it a girl thing??? How is it that she was drawn to them without any help for anyone? She rarely goes anywhere without them and loves to take pictures of her smiling princesses...even Eric can't help but smile when he poses with the princesses!

A Summer Day...in January!

It was 71 degrees today! It was so nice that we spent much of the day playing outside! Eric and Evie took a long walk through the woods, Josie took her first ride in the swing and our little neighbor Gracie came over to play with Evie. What a fun day!

My little helpers...

Evie is such a big help these days! She loves to help me sweep the floor and she is great at putting her toys away (she is also great at dragging every toy back out, but that is what it is all about!). She is also great at making her sister smile! Josie just adores her! Evie said that she can't wait for her sister to get bigger so she can play princesses with her, I wonder if she will really like that or not! :)

Cooking with the girls

Last night the girls and I made cupcakes. We had a great time! Evie absolutely loves to cook and Josie loves to play with the cooking utencils! As you can see I think Evie got more on her face then in the cupcake tins! :)

Ess Family Christmas

Ok, so I think I am getting the hang of this and really enjoying it! I thought since I am behind I would post a few pictures from Christmas this year. Evie absolutely enjoyed Christmas. When she walked in to the living room to see what Santa had left her, her words were "Oh my goodness, I was good this year..." It was too funny! Although, she was sad Christmas night because she said, "Christmas is over and Santa is not coming anymore," I told that he would be back next year and she thought that sounded GREAT! Kids are so wonderful, they really have no concept of time, so to her next year is just a few days away! Josie really enjoyed it too. She loved the wrapping paper, ribbons and boxes!

6 month old beauty...

I couldn't resist posting this pic...it is just so perfect. It shows how beautiful she is; perfect skin, big brown eyes and a beautiful toothless smile!

Kitty-cat kisses...

Evie is really in to giving out what she calls kitty-cat kisses. We want to thank Grandma Tee Tee for that one! :) We were trying to get a few photos of the girls in front of the Christmas tree when Evie gave Josie a nice big kitty-cat kiss, I was wiping it off and I think we missed the best smiles out of both of them! So if you are ever over and Eric tells Evie to show you what a kitty-cat kiss is...beware!

Testing it out...

Ok, so I decided to try this out! My sis-in-law Megan does it all the time and I so much enjoy reading and seeing up-to-date photos of the boys. I am going to give this a try...stay tuned for future posts and pics of our little girls...
